Overview

WWU conducted a formal Request For Proposal to locate a food service company to implement a dining program which supports institutional values relative to health, nutrition, and sustainable practices.  The RFP was issued on October 28, 2022 and proposals were due on January 5, 2023.

Project Objective and Scope

Keeping in line with Western's commitment to designing and delivering a full complement of excellent food services customized to it's unique higher education community, the RFP focused on these key areas for the RFP respondents:

  • Services - a comprehensive portfolio of services for resident and non-resident students, faculty, staff, and campus guests.
  • Partnerships - building ongoing relationships with campus constituents and providing timely responses to changing needs and institutional priorities.
  • Potential for Growth - recognizing the potential for improvement through new, fresh approaches to the food and services provided.

The scope of this project for the PMO was to manage the internal process starting in the mid-execution phase of the vendor selection process and get the core team to a signed contract with the selected vendor.
