Description
Western Washington University is embarking on a transformative upgrade to its procurement and contract management systems. The University is implementing the Jaggaer One Platform—specifically the eProcurement and Contracts + AI modules—to streamline purchasing, requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, and budget checking. This initiative will replace legacy systems (ESM and Contracts Management Module) to address longstanding challenges with stability, support, and integration.
The new Western Marketplace platform will serve as a one-stop shop for initiating and managing purchases and contracts, enhancing the customer experience for staff and stakeholders. Key benefits include improved spend management, contract oversight, compliance, and strategic sourcing, all supported by advanced reporting capabilities. The project also aims to enable credit card (Pcard) use for procurement transactions, increasing rebate opportunities and operational efficiency.
Implementation will focus on:
- Integrating Jaggaer with Western’s primary ERP (Ellucian Banner)
- Centralizing procurement and payment requests
- Streamlining contract approval workflows with AI-powered analysis
- Ensuring compliance with state and university policies
- Providing comprehensive training and support for end-users
Go-live is scheduled for July 1, 2026. This project represents a significant step forward in modernizing Western’s financial and business services, supporting the University’s mission through enhanced technology and process innovation.
