Description

Graduate students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling programs provide
free counseling services to clients from the community in the Counseling Training Clinic, located within
the Department of Psychology. The training model within the programs requires audio-visual equipment
to observe counseling sessions live and record them. The AV equipment is nearing the end of its
anticipated lifespan and will need to be replaced within approximately 2-4 years. The project will
explore potential cost-saving solutions in collaboration with other WWU programs that have similar
AV needs.

Status Summary

The project team met with representatives from the Counseling Center to learn about their audio-visual systems for recording in their treatment rooms.  The project team developed a requirements document and asked colleagues in ATUS for their recommendation based on the requirements.
